Tomato & Basil Bruschetta

Perfect for entertaining, this tasty appetizer features our Basil Genovese Extra Virgin Olive Oil! Take delight in the garden-fresh aroma of basil blended perfectly with the green, grassy flavor and slightly peppery finish of this premium Italian extra virgin olive oil. 



1 Baguette, sliced into 1/4" thick pieces

1/3 cup Basil Genovese EV Olive Oil*

4-6 Ripe Tomatoes, diced

5 Basil leaves, chiffonade cut (see how here)

2 Garlic cloves, minced

1/4 cup Basil Genovese EV Olive Oil*

2 tbsp Sundried Tomato or Traditional Dark Balsamic Vinegar*

1/2 tsp Sea Salt*

Fresh Ground Pepper, to taste*

1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees F. 

2. Line a baking sheet with bread slices, drizzle with basil olive oil, and bake until toasted, about 10 minutes.

3. In a non-reactive bowl (glass or ceramic), combine tomatoes, fresh basil, garlic, basil olive oil, and vinegar. Add salt and pepper to taste.

4. Spoon tomato mixture on individual toasts, distributing evenly. Enjoy!
